**What happened:** OpenAI expanded ChatGPT Health to every US user aged 18 and over, on all plans, rolling out on web and iOS during the week of 23 July 2026.

**The details:** The feature launched in January as a separate hub for connecting Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Function and medical-record systems like Epic and Oracle Health. Now that data can inform any ChatGPT conversation, not just ones inside the hub.

**The numbers:** In testing, 70% of health questions happened outside the dedicated hub, which pushed OpenAI to fold the feature into general chat. Weekly health-related questions have grown from 230 million in January to 300 million now.
